Privacy policy

This policy covers the website better-crm.ai and the waitlist reachable from it. It does not describe the Presage product, because the product is not yet available and processes no customer data. When Presage launches, a separate policy and a data processing agreement will cover it.

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and contains no advertising or tracking pixels. Opening it makes no request to any third party at all — fonts and images are served from this origin. Something leaves this site only if you start the demo video or open the waitlist form.

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you open a page, your browser necessarily transmits data that the host records in server log files: IP address, date and time, the file requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system identifiers.

This is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is not merged with other sources and is not used to identify you. It is deleted once it is no longer needed for operations and security.

The page uses the typefaces Instrument Sans and JetBrains Mono. Both files are served from this website, not from a font CDN. Your browser therefore makes no connection to Google in order to render this page, and no IP address is transmitted for that purpose.

Both typefaces are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

The demo section shows a still image as a preview. That still is stored on this website, so opening the page contacts nobody and tells Google nothing.

The video itself does not load until you click it. Only then is a player embedded from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's no-cookie host, which does not set tracking cookies before playback starts. From that click onward YouTube processes your data under its own responsibility, including your IP address. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Starting the video is your own decision, so the legal basis is your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Not clicking means no data goes to Google.

The waitlist form is not hosted here. The button opens a form provided by Typeform (TYPEFORM S.L., Carrer Bac de Roda 163, 08018 Barcelona, Spain) on Typeform's own domain. The data you enter there is transmitted to Typeform and made available to us.

We use what you submit to contact you about early access to Presage and to judge whether Presage fits your situation. Legal basis: your consent and steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6 (1) (a) and (b) GDPR. You can withdraw at any time by writing to hello@better-crm.ai; we then delete your entry.

If you write to hello@better-crm.ai, we process your address and whatever you put in the message in order to answer it. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or its preparation, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We keep the correspondence until it is settled, subject to statutory retention duties.

The page saves exactly one value in your browser's local storage, under the key presage-lang. It records whether you chose English or German, so the choice survives a reload. It contains no identifier, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and stays on your device until you clear your browser data.

Because this is strictly necessary to provide a function you asked for, it falls under § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG and needs no consent banner.

Personal data reaches the following recipients, each acting as a processor or, where indicated, as an independent controller:

• Vercel Inc., USA — hosting and server logs
• Google Ireland Limited — only if you start the demo video; YouTube then acts under its own responsibility
• TYPEFORM S.L., Spain — the waitlist form

Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the recipient is certified, on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell personal data and do not pass it on for advertising.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
• have data erased (Art. 17)
• have processing restricted (Art. 18)
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
• withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3))

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. The one responsible for us is Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany.

We update this policy when the site changes what it does with data — for example when Presage itself becomes available. The date at the top of the page always tells you which version you are reading.
